The Problem – Inefficiencies with vehicle storage

Delineation Line Marking was engaged to deliver line marking for a rental yard at Perth Airport. The client was with having to shuffle vehicles around to service or repair vehicles. Unknowing members of staff would put vehicles at random in any order or where there was available space, causing inefficiencies in their workflow, which cost them hours pers week to get the vehicles out that needed repairing.

Upon arrival on site, several unexpected challenges became apparent:

• The surface had not been swept or adequately prepared.
• Surveying works were not completed.
• Unfavourable weather conditions

The Solution – Execute with constraints in place.

We waited for the weather to subside and utilised specialised tool and equipment to assist in drying the surface more rapidly. We liaised with the client onsite to determine their needs and deadlines. We used the time that was unfavourable to our advantage and set out the line marking in advance.

This enabled us to execute the painting portion of the works as soon as the weather became favourable.

We were able to get the job completed for the client despite the unfavourable weather conditions.
